Rho Theta Sigma Hosts Fall 2007 Initiation

TAHLEQUAH The Northeastern State University Rho Theta Sigma honor society recently inducted 57 initiates for Fall 2007 during a banquet held Nov. 13 at the University Center in Tahlequah.

New initiates Joseph Brossier, Russell A. Hunter, Yuki Mori and Whitney Rolph were recipients of Daniel Hansen Scholarships at the ceremony.

Dr. Dalton Bigbee, vice president for Academic Affairs, presented the keynote address. Rho Theta Sigma sponsors Kin Thompson, assistant professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Dr Sally Armstrong, professor of Educational Foundations and Leadership, Dr. Martha Parrott, associate professor of Mathematics, and Dr. Craig Clifford, professor of Biology, were in attendance at the ceremony, along with RTS President Challis McDonald and Secretary Alisha Powell.

To be eligible for Rho Theta Sigma, student must have a 3.6 grade point average for at least one semester with 12 credit hours at Northeastern or a 3.4 grade point average over two semesters with 12 credit hours.

Rho Theta Sigma is the oldest honor society at NSU. The newest members include:
