Nabholz Construction Makes Donation To NSU Foundation

TAHLEQUAH Nabholz Construction, Oklahoma Divison, made a contribution to the Northeastern State University Foundation at a special ceremony held earlier this month.

This generous donation to the NSU Foundation highlights the positive relationship between Nabholz Construction and Northeastern, said Interim President Kim Cherry. As the university strives to provide affordable education our students, we hope more people will step forward to provide the financial assistance our students need.

Nabholz Construction has worked with Northeastern since the firm completed renovations to the University Center. The firm is currently working on several projects at the university, including renovations to the exterior of Haskell Hall and Haskell Hall Annex and improvements to the Education Building.

We felt there was a real need at Northeastern for support from the community, said Chris Burnett, president of the Oklahoma Division of Nabholz Construction. We hope this experience is a catalyst for other donations from other businesses and helps the university continue to prosper.

Nabholz Construction was founded in 1949 by Robert D. Nabholz in Conway, Ark. Nabholz Construction is one of the nation's leading general contractors and construction managers. The company is employee-owned, licensed in 39 states and has offices in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas with over 1,000 employees total. The projects include construction for commercial, healthcare and retail industries, as well as kindergarten through 12 grade schools and higher education.

The charitable contributions of Nabholz Construction, along with donations from businesses and individuals, provides much needed funding for many initiatives on campus, said John Gyllin, executive director of the NSU Foundation. Through the support we receive, the Foundation is able to provide critical financial assistance to students who would otherwise not be able to afford a college education.

Support for the NSU Foundation can be provided through cash donations, wills and trusts, charitable gift annuities, endowments, securities and real property, and life insurance. For more information about the NSU Foundation, call 918-458-2143 or visit www.nsuok.edu/foundation.
