OKEAA Hosts 2008 Environmental Education Expo

BROKEN ARROW The Oklahoma Association for Environmental Education will host the 2008 Environmental Education Expo on Thursday, Feb. 7 at Northeastern State University Broken Arrow.

Educators who attend our conference will get motivated and inspired by the tools we present in the area of environmental education, said Dr. Pamela Christol, assistant professor of Physical Science at NSU. We want teachers to take the tools we offer them back to their classrooms to provide their students with opportunities to positively impact the environment while learning.

Sessions at the conference will cover topics such as outdoor learning spaces, funding for environmental education, resource trunks, recycling and composting. A panel discussion on environmental education is also slated.

The Oklahoma Association for Environmental Education works to support Oklahoma educators and promote environmental literacy through communication, resource sharing, skill building and recognition of excellence.
