State Farm, NSUBA Host Financial Security for Women Seminar

BROKEN ARROW Area women interested in sound financial planning through saving and investing can learn from financial experts at a special seminar scheduled at Northeastern State University Broken Arrow.

State Farm Insurance and Northeastern State University will present the Financial Security for Women Seminar on Friday, Feb. 29 at the Broken Arrow campus. The series will be held from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Banquet Facility on the second floor of Building A, 3100 E. New Orleans St.

Featured guest speakers at the seminar include Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor, Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner Kim Holland and Tulsa Business Leader Sharon King Davis. Other session speakers include State Farm Insurance Vice President of Agency Rendi Black, NSU Interim President Kim Cherry, Assistant Professor of Finance Dr. Julia Kwok and Associate Professor of Financial Planning Denise Deason-Toyne.

Learn the principals of sound financial planning, said Kwok. Well share what women need to know to thrive in todays economic climate.

State Farm Insurance representatives and NSU faculty will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and provide financial advice.
