Downtown Country Holds Auditions
TAHLEQUAH Northeastern State Universitys Downtown Country will hold Final Call auditions on Saturday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at the NSU Playhouse on the corner of Muskogee and Downing in Tahlequah.
Downtown Country is a Branson-style live country music show produced by NSU that allows students to develop their performance skills in a collegiate atmosphere. Downtown Country boasts many talented past cast membersincluding the 2005 American Idol Carrie Underwood.
Downtown Country will be auditioning for all summer positions including vocalists, dancers, comedians, technicians, guest artists and band members including rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist, bass guitarist, keyboard player and drummer.
Guest cast participants will have the opportunity to perform one or more times throughout the season, showcasing their talent to hundreds of Downtown Country patrons. Full cast members participate in approximately 11 weeks of rehearsal and performance during the summer season. All eligible full cast participants also receive six college credit hours, a six-hour tuition waiver scholarship and a stipend.
