Sherry Allen Wins Entrepreneurship Of The Year Award

TAHLEQUAH Northeastern State University student Sherry Allen, of Jay, is the winner of the 2008 entrepreneurship of the year award that was given out on Feb. 25 at NSU.

The NSU entrepreneur club began in 2003. The first entrepreneurship day was held on April 12, 2006 and the entrepreneurship of the year award was first given out to Jonathan Wygle. The winner receives a $250 dollar cash award and trophy. The award was created to honor NSU students who have been successful in business entrepreneurship.

Sherry, a senior business entrepreneurship major, graduated from Jay High School in 2000. She is the daughter of Rick Pope and Alice Vincent and the wife of Buddy Allen.
