PLC To Host Last Lecture For President Williams
TAHLEQUAH The Northeastern State University Presidents Leadership Class will host a cookout at Beta Field on Monday, April 21 from 6 8 p.m. to honor the retirement of NSU President Dr. Larry Williams.
Williams and wife Pam will give their last lecture to the NSU student body at the event. The PLC students wanted to provide Williams with the opportunity to address the students one last time before officially retiring on June 30.
President Williams cared for the students at Northeastern and we feel this would be the best way to send him off, to show our appreciation for him, said Todd Newcomb, PLC president.
PLC students are also selling T-shirts as a fundraiser to raise money for the Larry and Pam Williams Endowed Scholarship. The P. Willy is My Homeboy T-shirts are based on existing PLC shirts.
The Presidents Leadership Class is a scholarship/leadership program designed to identify and cultivate outstanding potential in selected freshmen entering NSU. Students with proven leadership skills and strong academic records compete for scholarship assistance of $4,500 per academic year, which includes a tuition waiver and a stipend.
