NSU Professor Teaching In China

Professor Dr. Dong Faqin, vice president of SWUST, welcomes NSU Professor Dr. Lallie Scott to China.
TAHLEQUAH Dr. Lallie Scott, professor of Geography at Northeastern State University, recently began a six-month academic visit to Southwest University of Science and Technology (SWUST) in Mianyang, Sichuan Province in western China.
Upon her arrival in February, Professor Dr. Dong Faqin, vice president of SWUST, hosted a reception for Scott, and began discussions on collaborations in the fields of teaching, research and joint programs for the two universities.
We are exchanging ideas on areas of mutual interest to explore,
said Scott. Were hoping this exchange will help build a close partnership between our two universities that will continue into the future.
During her time at SWUST, Scott will teach two courses: an introduction to Geography and Physical Geography for students in the school of Environment and Resources, and will give a series of lectures and seminars for teachers and students.
