Call For Nominations: Sen. Herb Rozell Scholars Program at NSU February 3

Nominations for the Senator Herb Rozell Scholars Program are now being accepted at Northeastern State University. Honoring the outstanding works and deeds of NSU alumnus and former Oklahoma Sen. Herb Rozell, the prestigious annual scholarship recognizes two NSU students who have demonstrated tremendous campus and community leadership, outstanding scholastic achievement, and exhibit a commitment to excellence for the future.

To be eligible for this program, students must have completed 90 hours by the end of the spring semester; maintained a 3.25 grade-point average; expect to attend NSU for two additional semesters; and anticipate graduation within the next three semesters.

In addition to receiving annual awards of $1,000 each semester, Rozell Scholars will represent the University and its student body at numerous social, civic, and educational events throughout the year.

Anyone wishing to nominate a student for this prestigious honor should provide the student-s name, GPA, number of hours to be completed by the end of the spring semester, and a minimum of three examples as to why they should be considered for the Rozell Scholars Program. Nominations should be no longer than one page and should be accompanied by a nomination form, also available in the President-s Office.

For more information, contact Neal Weaver at campus ext. 2010 or email him at weavernr@nsuok.edu. Nomination forms should be returned to the President-s Office no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2005.
