NSUOCO Featured in American Indian Magazine

TAHLEQUAH The Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUOCO) is featured in the summer 2008 edition of Winds of Change, a magazine focusing on American Indian education and opportunity.

The article focuses on opportunities available in optometry, the history of the program at NSU and its influence and partnerships with the Cherokee Nation, as well as American Indian students and professors in optometry at NSUOCO.

Dr. George Foster, dean of NSUOCO, a member of the Muskogee/Creek tribe, is chronicled for his work in optometry, as well as students Christopher McDaniels, Cherokee, and Kimberly Brunk, Cherokee.
