Country star Josh Turner headlines Emerald Ball
The Northeastern State University Alumni Association is excited to announce a full evening of entertainment scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30 as the Bank of Cherokee County presents the 2015 Emerald Ball.
The event is one of the main events of Homecoming Week, and will feature multi-platinum selling country music artist Josh Turner, whose hits include Long Black Train, Your Man and Why Don't We Just Dance.
Emerald Ball will take place in a new venue this year, moving to the recently built NSU Event Center.
In addition to the Josh Turner performance, the program will include fine dining, live and silent auctions and the always anxiously anticipated emerald jewelry giveaway. The evening will wrap up with a masquerade-themed After Party Ball, presented by One Degree Lawn Care & Landscaping.
Produced by the NSU Alumni Association in conjunction with the University and the NSU Foundation, Emerald Ball, in its 18th year, is NSUs premier fundraising gala benefitting student scholarships. Last years event, which featured NSU alumna Carrie Underwood, raised nearly $50,000.
Individual tickets for Emerald Ball will be $150 and will go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. Individual tickets will be available by phone order only. To purchase tickets, individuals can call the NSU Alumni Association at 918-458-2143.
