Northeastern Promotes Haney as Assistant Vice President of Administration for NSUBA February 17The Board of Regents of Oklahoma Colleges recently approved the appointment of Jack Haney as assistant vice president of Administration for Northeastern State University Broken Arrow. A 19-year employee of the University, Haney began his career with Northeastern as a finance professor.
-Jack Haney has proven himself to be a wonderful asset to Northeastern,- said NSU President Dr. Larry Williams. -Having worked academic and administration facets of the university, Jack has a firm understanding of NSU systems and students. A committed staff and community member, I can think of no person better suited to help lead NSUBA into the future.-
A 1963 graduate of Kent State University, Haney holds a B.A. and M.B.A. in Business Administration. He also has completed coursework toward his doctorate. Prior to joining NSU, Haney played professional football for the Cleveland Browns and later served as president for a prominent Ohio banking institution. He joined Northeastern in 1981 serving as an NSU professor for the University Center of Tulsa. Haney also served as dean of University Services at UCT (1991) and dean of University Services at NSUBA (2001).
As assistant vice president of Administration for NSUBA, Haney will help oversee NSUBA fiscal affairs, budgeting, grounds and maintenance, planning and construction, facility scheduling, and student services.
-At Northeastern, our students are our first priority,- said Haney. -They are both customer and product. How well we meet our students- needs reflects how successful this University will be in the end. Judging by NSUBA-s continued growth in programs, student enrollment, and visibility in the Tulsa metropolitan area, I-d say we-re doing a good job and I look forward to helping continue that upward trend.-
An active businessman, Haney is also a partner in two financial planning and investment companies in the Tulsa community. Haney and his wife, Georganne, have two daughters and enjoy five grandchildren.
