Tour Haunted Seminary Hall Every Weekend In October

TAHLEQUAH Get a little spooked this month while learning about the history of Northeastern State University during a Haunted Seminary Hall tour.

The NSU College of Liberal Arts Graduate Student Association will host tours of Seminary Hall every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night in October starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5.

Haunted Seminary Hall is a guided ghost tour focusing on the history and haunting of one of the oldest institutions of higher learning this side of the Mississippi. The legend centers around Florence Wilson, who served as principal of the Cherokee National Femal Seminary for 26 years and may still be around in some form today. Legend has it that if any person walks by the old pillars south of Seminary Hall at night, Flo will watch them from that moment on.

All proceeds go to the NSU College of Liberal Arts Graduate Student Association to help pay for conference fees.

There are no gimmicks, masks, or special effects, all ghosts encountered on this tour are real. Bring your camera, you may even capture evidence of one. You have the option of believing the ghost stories or not--it's up to you. The history, however, is absolutely true. But beware ... Flo is watching.
