RiverHawk Rally, Football Top Saturday Activities

TAHLEQUAH A school title is on the line this Saturday, Nov. 8 when the Northeastern State University RiverHawks face off against the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos in football at 2 p.m. for the Presidents Cup.

The chance to see these two teams battle it out for this top honor is only part of the fun happening at NSU. High school juniors and seniors trying to figure out where to attend college next fall will have an opportunity to explore NSU at RiverHawk Rally beginning at 10 a.m. The annual event teams high school juniors and seniors from across the region with faculty and staff to learn about educational programs, financial aid, housing options and more.

Registered RiverHawk Rally students get a free T-shirt and admission to the NSU vs. UCO football game, as well as a free lunch during tailgating prior to the game. To register online, visit www.nsuok.edu/riverhawkrally/. For more information, contact the Office of High School and College Relations at 918-444-4679.

Beginning at noon, break out your grill and join NSU students, faculty and staff for tailgating in the parking lot of Doc Wadley Stadium prior to the game.

The Senior Day Celebration will be held during pre-game festivities to recognize senior football players, band and spirit squad members. At halftime, NSU will formally recognize all area veterans in honor of Veterans Day.

Stick it out to the end of the game, though, to see which school walks away with bragging rights and honor of the Presidents Cup this year.
