Mr. NSU Pageant Scheduled for March 30

Northeastern State University and the Northeastern Student Government Association have set Thursday, March 30, as the date for the annual Mr. NSU pageant. Held every year to highlight talented and exceptional men at NSU, the event will take place in the Center for Performing Arts at 7 p.m.

The ten men taking part in this year's competition are Derrek McGowen, Chase Gann, Casey Hudson, Mark Bivins, Sam Tehee, Daniel Hahn, Keith Badgett, Justin Cochran, Cody Parker, and Jake Prill. They will compete in categories of Swimsuit, Talent, Pre-show Interview, Evening Wear, and Onstage Question.

The new Mr. NSU will receive an $800 tuition waiver while the first runner-up will receive a $300 waiver and the second runner-up will receive a $150 waiver. In addition, every competitor will receive a miscellaneous cash scholarship. Recognition will also be given to the winner of Mr. Congeniality and the overall winners for Talent, Physical Fitness, and Interview.

The event will also feature performances by this year's Miss NSU Mary Kate Harkreader and current Mr. NSU Cody Brumley, as well as the GoVertigo dance troupe. Admission is free, and all are encouraged to attend.
