Northeastern's Rho Theta Sigma Initiates 66

TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State University recently inducted 66 students in Rho Theta Sigma, the institution's oldest honor society, at a banquet on Nov. 11, 2008 in the Sen. Herb Rozell Ballroom of the University Center.

Initiates Ben Ellis, Jeramy Hall and Rebecca Wallace received Daniel Hansen Scholarships, which are awarded to three new initiates each spring and fall semesters.

NSU President Dr. Don Betz served as the featured speaker at the banquet.

To qualify for Rho Theta Sigma membership, students must have a 3.6 grade point average for at least one semester as a full-time student at NSU, or a 3.4 grade point average over two semesters as a full-time student at NSU, and attend the initiation banquet. Elections of new officers for the next year are held at the spring initiation banquet.
