NSU Hosts Stalking Awareness Forum
TAHLEQUAH Northeastern State University will host the Stalking Awareness Forum on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 5 p.m. in the University Center Redbud Room as part of National Stalking Awareness Month.
This month is a time to focus on a crime that affects 1.4 million victims per year, said Heather Adney, coordinator of Violence Prevention in the NSU Office of Student Affairs. Stalking is real and can happen to anyone. Its dangerous and a crime in all 50 states.
Capt. Patti Buhl, of the University Police Department, and Adney are expected to speak at the forum and address questions from the audience. The forum is sponsored by the NSU Office of Student Affairs and the NSU Police Department.
The more you know about what constitutes stalking, the more you can do to stop it, said Adney. We encourage anyone who wants to educate themselves to attend our forum.
The forum is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Adney at 918-444-2255.
