Rink Facilitates National Leadership Summit

BROKEN ARROW Northeastern State University Broken Arrow Librarian Tom Rink recently participated in the Leadership Summit of the Special Libraries Association held Jan. 14-17 in Savannah, Ga.

Rink serves as division cabinet chair on the board of directors for the international association, and is responsible for liaising between the board and the divisional leadership, as well as for planning, facilitating, and presenting leadership training during the two-day Leadership Summit and the half-day Leadership Development Institute at the Annual Conference in June.

During the second day of the Leadership Summit, Rink facilitated several workshops geared toward building a Leadership Toolkit, with presentations on Surviving Your First Month, 10 Best Leadership Tips, and an overview of the SLA Leadership Resources and Toolkit. The second day also included chapter, division and joint cabinet meetings.
