NSU Hosts Northeastern Trumpet Festival

TAHLEQUAH The 2009 Northeastern Trumpet Festival will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Northeastern State University Jazz Lab.

The internationally recognized trumpet virtuoso Vince DiMartino is the featured artist; with performances by Dr. Jason Dovel, NSU trumpet professor, Dr. Robert Bailey, NSU trumpet professor emeritus, and Nicholas Harvey, Baroque trumpet specialist.

The NSU trumpet ensemble, NSU jazz ensemble, Arkansas Tech University trumpet ensemble and the Broken Arrow High School trumpet choir will also perform at the festival.

Tickets for the entire festival, which begins at 9 a.m. and runs all day, are $20. Tickets for the 7 p.m. Vince DiMartino Concert with the NSU Jazz Ensemble are $10. For more information, please visit www.NSUtrumpet.com.
