NSU Music Department Hosts Low Brass Day
TAHLEQUAH The Northeastern State University Music Department will host the first annual NSU Low Brass Day on Saturday, Feb 28 at the NSU Jazz Lab.
NSU Low Brass Day will feature three guest artists plus resident artist Norman Wika, director of Bands and assistant professor of Music at NSU. The guest artists are Timothy Conner, principal trombone of the Florida Philharmonic, Danny Vinson, retired principal euphonium of the United States Coast Guard Band, and James Mitchell, tuba player with the Fountain City Brass Band.
Throughout the day the artists will present masterclasses and workshops, with the day culminating in an Artist Showcase recital at 7 p.m. in the NSU Jazz Lab.
