NSU Science & Technology Seminar Series begins Sept. 23

(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- Northeastern State Universitys Science and Technology Seminar Series kicks off onWednesday, Sept. 23, with a presentation by Dr. Noah Butler from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Centers Department of Microbiology and Immunology.

Butler will be presenting his lecture Immunoregulation During Malaria, explaining how the disease continues to be a global health emergency and how more work needs to be done to search for alternative strategies to combat the malaria parasite.

Butler's long-term goals are to use information from his research and others, using mouse models of malaria, to help better our understanding of the disease in humans.

The Science & Technology Seminar Series is arranged by Dr. John de Banzie, professor of biology at NSU. There is no charge for the seminars and they are open to all who wish to attend.
