NSU Theatre Presents Picasso at the Lapin Agile

TAHLEQUAH The Northeastern State University Theatre Department will present Piccasso at the Lapin Agile (the Agile Rabbit), written by Steve Martin and directed by Tim Saucier, on April 8-11 at the Shawnee Street Theatre.

Named for a French bar located in Montmartre, Paris, the Lapin Agile is a convergence point for eccentrics, including two as-yet- unknown geniusesPicasso, played by Daniel Woodworth, and Einstein, played by John Thomason. The womanizing Spanish artist and the 25-year-old Einstein, engage in a battle of wits, vying for romantic leverage with a Countess and other Female Admirers.

Additional characters include Sagot, Picassos art dealer, Smendiman, inventor of a new building material called schmendimite, as well as an unexpected Visitor from the future.

Join us for lots of laughs from Steve Martins first full-length play. Shows begin each evening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.
