Scholarship Available For Teacher To Attend Paris Trip

The Northeastern State University Department of Languages and Literature is offering a full scholarship for the Summer 2009 Study Away in Paris. Any public school teacher of Language or Literature currently pursuing a degree at NSU may apply for the Evelyn P. Woods Scholarship.

The scholarship pays for airfare, hotel, ground transportation in Paris and breakfasts. The trip departs May 25 and returns June 3. More information can be found on the trips blog, http://parissummer2009.blogspot.com/.

To apply, candidates should fill out the application on the blog's site and send a 500-word description of how participation in this study abroad would enhance your work as a teacher to Dr. Bridget Cowlishaw.

Applicants should also include an up-to-date resume. All application materials must be received by April 24. The recipient of the scholarship will be announced on the blog May 1.
