Shenandoah To Present Workshop On Nurturing Talent
TAHLEQUAH Grammy-winning artist Joanne Shenandoah (Oneida), will host a workshop, Nurturing Your Creator-Given Talents, at Northeastern State University on Thursday, April 16 at 1 p.m. in the University Center Sen. Herb Rozell Ballroom B.
The workshop is held in conjunction with the 37th Annual Symposium on the American Indian and the Sequoyah Institutes 23rd Annual Galaxy of Stars Series.
This pre-performance workshop will give aspiring singers, songwriters, musicians, and fans the opportunity to learn directly from the performer. The workshop is free and open to the public.
Shenandoah brings her personal experience, cultural knowledge, and rich talents to the stage in an evening performance at the Tahlequah High School Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show will be available at the door or may be purchased in advance by contacting the Sequoyah Institute at 918-458-2075.
Funding for the show is provided by the Mid-America Arts Alliance, Oklahoma Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts.
