TAHLEQUAH Alex Elliot, of Tulsa, was named 2009 Mr. Northeastern State University during a contest held Tuesday, April 21 at NSU.

The Mr. NSU contest took place at the NET Auditorium on April 21 at 7 p.m. Mr. NSU is designed to give the young men of Northeastern State University the opportunity to win tuition waivers, cash, prizes, and the title of Mr. NSU 2009.

Elliot, an elementary education major, graduated from Coweta High School in 2007. He won a $750 tuition waiver and his talent was singing Jason Mrazs song, Im Yours.

Tony R. Maxville, Jr., of Tulsa, was named first runner up and also won a $300 tuition waiver. Mathew Endacott, of Broken Arrow, was named second runner up and won a $150 tuition waiver. Dustin McGowen, of Moore, was named Mr. Congeniality.
