NSU Rho Theta Sigma Inducts 83 New Members

TAHLEQUAH Northeastern State Universitys Rho Theta Sigma recently inducted 83 students into the institution's oldest honor society, which honors students with high achievements in all disciplines, at the Spring Banquet held Tuesday, April 21 in the University Center Ballroom. Rho Theta Sigma was established on the Tahlequah campus in the 1920s and it currently has over 5,000 members.

These initiates, from multiple majors and diverse collegiate backgrounds, have all met the requirements of a 3.4 GPA for two full-time semesters or a 3.6 GPA for one full-time semester and a dedication to lifetime membership and commitment to the organizations principles and codes.

The keynote speaker of the night, Dean of Student Affairs, Laura Boren encouraged initiates to serve and influence their community. Officers elected at the Spring Initiation for the 2009-2010 Academic Year include Shu Nakai, president; Teesha Richardson, vice president; and Bryson Williams, secretary.
