NSU Communiversity Band invites music lovers to play

(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- Northeastern State University Communiversity Band has set its first rehearsal session for 2016, ready to put in the work for another successful music season.

The rehearsal is carded forJan. 12, from7 to 9 p.m. in the band room on the Fine Arts building, room 128.Rehearsals will be everyTuesdayevening, culminating with a performance onSunday, April 24.

The band is made up of NSU students and members of the Tahlequah community. Anyone who has experience playing a band instrument is welcome. There is no audition needed.

This band is a great opportunity for people who love music to come together with others and play.There are a wide range of ages and ability levels and anyone who is passionate about music and has some experience on a band instrument is welcome to come be a part of the ensemble, Dr. Norman Wika, the bands director said.
