NSU hosts Crime & Comedy, a Let’s Talk About It Oklahoma Book Discussion – Jan. 19

Discussion on The Code of the Woosters with Dr. Brian Cowlishaw

(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- Literature enthusiasts can join in the discussion about this months book The Code of the Woosters, by P.G. Wodehouse, at the Crime and Comedy, Lets Talk About It Oklahoma Book Discussion on Tuesday, Jan. 19 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Northeastern State University John Vaughan Library, second floor landing.

The program will begin with a presentation by literature scholar, Dr. Brian Cowlishaw who will relate the book to the theme and talk about such issues as the authors life, the historical context and the literary significance of the work, as well as its contemporary relevance. A book discussion will follow.

"This book discussion program serves as an excellent avenue to foster community dialogue and connect people with our finest Oklahoma scholars," Samantha Clifford, an NSU instructor, said.

Students can borrow a copy of The Code of the Woosters from the school library, prior to the event. The presentation and discussion are free to attend and open to the public.

This book discussion and presentation is made possible by The Oklahoma Humanities Council.
