Science & Technology Seminar Series starts Sept. 9

This years Science and Technology Seminar Series at Northeastern State University kicks off with its first program Sept. 9.

Speaking is Dr. Peter Ungar of the Department of Anthropology, University of Arkansas, on the topic Dental Evidence for Diets of Early Human Ancestors and Related Fossil Species from Africa.

Dr. Ungar is recognized for his study of how early ancestors of humans and other contemporary hominids utilized their surroundings. His work in dental anthropology concerning the shape and wear of teeth seeks to understand primate diets and how teeth abrade to maintain their effectiveness for eating available foods.

The Science and Technology Seminar Series is arranged by Dr. John de Banzie, professor of Biology.
