Science & Technology Seminar Series continues Sept. 23
(Tahlequah) The second installment of the Fall 2009 Science and Technology Seminar Series at Northeastern State University is Sept. 23.
Dr. Jason Belden of the Department of Zoology, Oklahoma State University, will be speaking on the topic Occurrence and Ecotoxicity of Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care Products in Aquatic Environments.
Dr. Beldens research deals with the identification of contaminants in an environment and whether they enter organisms, how contaminants react within organisms and the subsequent effects. This lecture focuses on the potential pathways and environmental effects of medical and hygiene materials entering bodies of water.
The NSU Science and Technology Seminar Series is arranged by Dr. John de Banzie, Professor of Biology.
