NSU-BA presents the spring 2016 Biology and Chemistry Seminar Series

(Broken Arrow, Okla.)-- The spring 2016 Biology and Chemistry Series at the Northeastern State University Broken Arrow campus begins Jan. 29.

Presented by the NSU College of Science and Health Professions and arranged by Dr. Sapna Das-Bradoo, assistant professor of molecular biology, the series includes speakers with topics of interest in four different areas of study.

Jan. 29- Studies on mRNA Degradation as an Indicator of the Age of a Body Fluid Stain, presented by Dr. Robert Allen, representing the School of Forensic Sciences, Oklahoma State University-Center for Health Sciences. This will be hosted by NSU faculty member, Dr. Kathi McDowell.

Feb. 26- What Chromatin Remodelers Can Teach Us About Vascular Development and Integrity, presented by Dr. Courtney Griffin, representing the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. This will be hosted by NSU faculty member, Dr. Sapna Das-Bradoo.

March 25- Deciphering the Molecular Basis for ShcA Function in Diabetes: from Enzymology to Cell Biology, presented by Dr. Franklin A. Hays, representing the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. This will be hosted by NSU faculty member, Dr. Sapna Das-Bradoo.

April 22- Genome Integrity and Cancer, presented by Das-Bradoo, representing the Department of Natural Science, NSU. This will be hosted by NSU faculty member, Dr. Sue Woods.

There is no charge to attend the seminar and the series and events are open to all who wish to attend. Complimentary cookies and coffee will be provided for all guests in attendance.

Each one-hour lecture begins at 10 a.m. at the NSU-Broken Arrow campus in the Administrative Services Building, Room 141 (Auditorium), 3100 E. New Orleans, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, 74014.
