Think NSU’s Camp RiverHawks for your next retreat
The summer months are almost here and Northeastern State Universitys Camp RiverHawks offers a perfect getaway from the busy city life. With the resplendent Lake Tenkiller as the view, the 260-plus acre camp offers a multitude of fun activities, whether with family, friends or co-workers.
Adventures to be had include high and low rope courses, canoeing, hiking and swimming; while the less intrepid can enjoy an impressive recreation hall, utilize the meeting rooms and kitchen.
According to Rylee Ketcher, director of continuing education, the ropes courses are what make the property unique. Courses can be customized according to the goals of the group using them.
We would approach a group of managers that have a goal of working on communication skills differently than we would a group of second graders where the goal may just be to help them overcome a fear of heights and climb the pole half way.
The Camp is open to the public.
We welcome groups seeking a venue for leadership development, board retreats, athletic team building, family reunions, school field trips, or just to have fun, Ketcher said.
Catering services are available, or groups are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.
