Northeastern State's Galaxy of Stars presents performance of "All is Calm"

(TAHLEQUAH)--Cantus, a full-time professional male vocal chamber ensemble, and Theater Latt Da of Minneapolis presents their holiday program "All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914" as part of the the Galaxy of Stars series, presented by the Sequoyah Institute at Northeastern State University.

"All is Calm" recounts the true story of the spontaneous truce called by British and German troops near Ypres, Belgium on Christmas Eve and Christmas day in 1914 during the First World War.

The program begins with the a cappella singing of traditional Christmas music by Cantus. There is also a pre-show lecture about the creation of "All is Calm" by director Peter Rothstein and arranger Erick Lichte.

The performance is Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. in the Tahlequah High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for NSU alumni, $16 for seniors 60-over and NSU employees, $10 for students and $6 for NSU students.

Season tickets for the remaining four Galaxy of Stars shows are $60 for adults, $54 for NSU alumni $48 for seniors and NSU employees, $30 for students and $18 for NSU students.
