NSU-BA Offers Continuing Education Courses - Retirement Planning, Stress Management
Northeastern State University will offer two quick courses in January on its Broken Arrow campus through the department of Professional and Continuing Education.
"Retirement Planning Today" is an educational course for adults ages 50-70. The course educates attendees about determining how much money is needed to retire, creating personal retirement goals, reducing debt and improving cash flow and how to properly convert an IRA to a Roth IRA.
The course also can help participants select an appropriate distribution of retirement investments, plan retirement income, transfer investment risk and reduce taxes, expenses, delays and legal challenges with estate planning.
The class meets Jan. 7 and 14 from 6:30 9 p.m. in Room 220 of Building G on the NSU-BA campus, 3100 E. New Orleans St. Enrollment fee is $49.
"Stress Management for Busy People," instructed by Jessica Heavin, meets 6-8 p.m. on Jan. 7 in Room 112 of Building G.
The course explains how the stress reaction evolved through human history and teaches simple techniques to minimize the effects of stress and foster good mental and physical health. Registration is $20.
