Vice President Dr. James Pate Announces Retirement July 14

Dr. James P. Pate, Northeastern State University vice president for Academic Affairs, has announced his intention to retire from the University and accept an offer to become Dean of the University of Mississippi at Tupelo campus in Tupelo, Mississippi. He will begin his new position in mid-August.

Serving as NSU's chief academic officer since July, 1998, Dr. Pate has helped guide Northeastern's faculty and academic departments through several major transitions, including the creation and opening of the NSU-Broken Arrow campus, unprecedented enrollment growth, statewide budget reductions, and a campus-wide reorganization.
