Golfers Gear Up for Rowdy Redmen Golf Event as NSU Homecoming '05 Approaches

TAHLEQUAH - Golfers of all skill levels and across Green Country are gearing up for Northeastern State University's Rowdy Redmen Golf Event on Friday, September 23, at the Muskogee Country Club. Tee-off is at 10:00 a.m.

The annual golf event is part of NSU's Homecoming weekend - September 22-24 this year. Each six-person team will compete in a scramble format, and prizes will be awarded for team and individual effort. In addition to traditional play, participants have the opportunity to try their luck on holes with several creative rules designed to showcase participants' other talents.

The entry fee is $75 per player and includes green fee, cart rental, lunch, all beverages, a gift bag, and more. For more information or to register your team, contact the NSU Alumni Association at 918-458-2143.

This year, Northeastern and downtown Tahlequah businesses are joining forces to celebrate "Welcome to Reality,"" Homecoming 2005 with a host of activities including the NSU Street Party, Rowdy Redmen Golf Event, traditional homecoming football game, Emerald Ball, and more.

Homecoming Honorees. Each year the NSU Alumni Association recognizes a select group of alumni during the Homecoming weekend celebration. Being honored this year are Larry Adair (Stilwell), Distinguished Alumnus; Dr. John Carletti (Tulsa), Distinguished Alumnus; Susan Illgen (Oklahoma City), Outstanding Young Alumnus; and Roy and Mary Cartwright (Tahlequah), President\'d5s Award for Community Service.
