NSU Enrollment at All-Time High
NSU Enrollment at All-Time High September 23TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State University continues to thrive in its hometown of Tahlequah and elsewhere as evidenced by record enrollment figures for the fall semester. Oklahoma-s premier regional university welcomed more than 9,700 students for the fall 2005 semester, setting a new all-time high for total enrollment. Northeastern welcomed more than 7,300 students on its main campus in Tahlequah and expanded to nearly 2,900 students at its Broken Arrow campus. Meanwhile, NSU-s Muskogee campus is currently serving nearly 700 students.
-We-re extremely proud of the progress Northeastern has made over the past six years, not only in the numbers of students the University has been able to attract, but the quality of those students,- said NSU President Dr. Larry Williams. -And, with the addition of the Broken Arrow campus, Northeastern has not only increased its exposure statewide but grown its main campus in the process. By providing a top-quality education at a reasonable cost, Northeastern continues to meet and exceed the expectations of eastern Oklahoma.-
Following a record-breaking trend that started five years ago, credit-hour production at Northeastern remains high with NSU students logging more than 113,400 credit hours.
