NOMSTA presents Annual Spring Conference at NSU - March 5
(Tahlequah, Okla.)-- OnMarch 5, 2016Northeastern Oklahoma Mathematics and Science Teacher Association will present their Annual Spring Conference, Engaging Students in STEM in the Science Building on Northeastern State Universitys Tahlequah campus. The conference will begin at8 a.m.and end at12 p.m.Free on-site registration will be from8 a.m.to 8:15 a.m.
Rebecca Morales will serve as the NOMSTA keynote speaker. Morales holds a Master of Education in Science Education and is a science instructional specialist at Broken Arrow Schools. She will speak on using open education resources in science classrooms.
Open education resources are teaching and learning resources that are free to use and repurpose by others. OER can include full courses, materials, textbooks, streaming videos, software and other knowledge tools.
Free Professional Development for K-12 Mathematics, Science and STEM Teachers will be presented throughout the conference.
