NSU Study Featured in Journal Of the American Optometric Association

TAHLEQUAH, OK - The research of NSU Optometry professors Dr. George Fulk and Dr. Lynn Cyert, in addition with Dr. Donald Parker, was featured in the August 2002 issue of Optometry, Journal of the American Optometric Association. Titled Randomized Clinical Trial of Bifocal Glasses for Myopic Children with Esopheria, the research article focused on the benefits of fitting children with special myopic (near-sighted) problems with bifocals instead of single-vision glasses. The group's results after 54 months showed a slowing and later maintenance of myopia progression.
