Spaces Still Available in Summer Academy
TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State University's free
Summer Academy,
Todays Technology: Tomorrows Application in Business
and Industry, has a few remaining spaces for those who wish
to register. Classes will meet on the NSU Tahlequah
campus each Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. from June 11 through
June 29.
The academy is open to students entering grades 9-11 and will explore exciting topics in mathematics, computer science, programming, environmental monitoring, graphical analysis, physics, and engineering. Classes will be taught by both NSU faculty and area high school faculty.
The Summer Academy is sponsored by the State Regents and is free to participants. It is a unique opportunity for high school students to interact with college faculty and high school teachers in a uniquely personal and hands-on environment, said Craig Clifford, NSU dean of Math, Science and Nursing. Students are exposed to a variety of technologic and computer innovations and the experience of seeing how these new technologies will transform the future of business.
Applications may be obtained by calling Dr. Craig Clifford at 918-456-5511, ext. 3800, or by emailing him at clifford@nsuok.edu.
