NSU Career Fair Brings Jobs to Area Teachers

TAHLEQUAH - The Northeastern State University Office of Placement Services will host the annual Spring Teacher Fair on Wednesday, March 6, 2002 in the University Center Ballroom.

NSU invites schools from all over the nation to participate in the Spring Teacher Fair. Forty-five schools, with job openings, will be represented at this years event. Several of the participating school districts will bring employment contracts with them.

The Spring Teacher Fair is a great connecting place for students and interested schools, said Gayle Anderson, NSU Placement Services. Instead of mailing resumes to each individual school, students are able to meet with and interview with schools that are currently hiring. Most visiting schools have several vacancies they need to fill.

An open forum will be held from 10 a.m. through noon, followed by an interview session from 1 p.m. through 3 p.m. Both events will take place in the University Center Ballroom.

The Spring Teacher Fair is open to the public. This includes NSU students, alumni, experienced teachers, as well as graduates from other universities. Interested participants are strongly encouraged to register with NSU Placement Services. Students and other participants will be responsible for scheduling and tracking their own interview times.
