Bio

Dr. Mark Buckles joined Northeastern State University in 2002 as an Assistant Professor of Mathematic in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and has since gained tenure and been promoted to Associate Professor.

Education:

  • MS, Mathematics, Notre Dame, 2002
  • PhD, Mathematics, Notre Dame, 2002
  • BS, Mathematics, University of Texas at Austin, 1996
My research interests include Algebraic Geometry, Complexity Theory, and Modern Algebra. I am currently writing software that draws Cayley graphs for finite groups.
I am also studying the P=NP problem in complexity theory.
I teach classes ranging from the freshman level to the graduate level. I enjoy teaching a wide variety of math classes.
