Bio

Dr. Kelli Carney is the Assistant Dean of the College of Education and an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at NSU. She is an advisor in the Library Media & Information Technology master's program. She has been in education over 20 years, with experience as an elementary school teacher and school librarian before joining NSUs faculty in 2012. Dr. Carney is an alum of NSU of both graduate and undergraduate programs, including a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, as well as a Masters of Science in Education and the School Library Media Certification. She earned certification in the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Library Media in 2007 and continued her education at Oklahoma State University, earning a PhD in Curriculum Studies in 2013.
