Bio
I am from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and attended Tahlequah Public Schools through high
school. I attended the University of Oklahoma for undergraduate requirements then
went on to the University of Oklahoma Health and Sciences Center to earn a masters
degree in occupational therapy in 2008. I received my doctorate degree in 2019 from
The University of Kansas Scholl of Health Professions. I worked in skilled nursing
facilities, school systems, and hospitals before beginning at Northeastern State University
in 2013.

My research interests include the use of the consultation model for OT service working
with parents and children. I have researched various approached to practice including
the SPACE model and Occupational Performance Coaching.
My teaching interests include areas within pediatric evaluation and intervention in
occupational therapy and technology in occupational therapy. In addition, I enjoy
teaching occupational therapy students about service learning opportunities.
