Bio

Dr. Toni Hail is an assistant professor of social work at Northeastern State University and a faculty member of the department since 2009. She is a member of the Chickasaw Nation. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Oklahoma in 2005 with 6 years post graduate clinical experience in working with at-risk youth and families prior to teaching. Dr. Hail served as the curriculum coordinator for the NCWWI Child Welfare Specialization program since 2010 and is also the faculty sponsor for the Northeastern State University Student Social Work Association. She is a member of the leadership team with Risforthursday at Oklahoma State University. This grassroots initiative targets foster care alumni in effort to support and facilitate optimal outcomes for this population on college campuses across the state. Her research interests are college students formerly in foster care and working with Native American families in the child welfare system. In addition to teaching, Dr. Hail continues to do clinical work, clinical supervision and engage in research.
