Barbara Jones

Bio

Dr. Barbara Jones, an assistant professor at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, brings over thirty years of experience in public education. Her extensive background includes serving as both an early childhood teacher and school administrator. Dr. Jones, a proud NSU Alumni, is currently instructing graduate students pursuing degrees in School Administration. She began her teaching career in 1991 in Muskogee and then taught in Broken Arrow, OK. She served as a building principal for Broken Arrow Public Schools for 14 years. In 2019, she earned her doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum, specializing in Early Childhood Education. She joined the staff at NSU in 2021.
