Barbara Jones

Bio

Dr. Barbara Jones is an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK, bringing more than 30 years of experience in public education. An NSU alumna, she began her career as an early childhood teacher in Muskogee and later taught in Broken Arrow before serving 14 years as a building principal with Broken Arrow Public Schools. In 2019, she earned her doctorate in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum, specializing in Early Childhood Education, from the University of Oklahoma. Since joining NSUs faculty in 2021, Dr. Jones has taught and mentored graduate students pursuing degrees in School Administration, combining her expertise as a teacher and administrator to prepare future educational leaders.
