Bio

John holds a Ph.D. in geography with an emphasis in geotechniques and physical geography from the University of Oklahoma, an M.A. in geography from California State University, Hayward, and a B.S. in Physical Science (meteorology) from California State University, Chico. His research interests include GIS representation, environmental analysis, urban and historical geography. John joined the NSU faculty in Fall 2016. He is a relative latecomer to academia and has over 20 years prior experience in urban planning, environmental planning, and GIS management in both the public and private sectors.
