Bio
I am proud and honored to represent NSU as the Clinic Director of the SLP Program.
I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist, mostly in the school setting, for over
15 years. During many of those years, I worked as an adjunct clinical supervisor at
NSU, which is also my alma mater - Class of 2005. Go RiverHawks!
Education:
- MA, Administration of Special Education, Southern Nazarene University, Summa cum laude,
2020
- MS, Speech-Language Pathology, Northeastern State University, Summa cum laude, 2005
- BS, Speech-Language Pathology, Northeastern State University, Magna cum laude, 2003
Interested in SLP goal writing incorporating educationally relevant content standards
along with MTSS (Multi-tiered systems of support) for SLPs in the school setting.
In my clinical practicum lab class for first-year SLP graduate students, we focus
on clinic guidelines and procedures. During each semester of the Internship/Externship
course for second-year SLP graduate students, the students are supervised in clinical
field work by a certified SLP supervisor.
