Bio
Dr. Kyle Vareberg is originally from Valley City, ND, where he finished both high
school (2008) and his undergrad (2012) at Valley City State University. Upon completion
of this degree, Kyle worked in Rugby, ND -- the geographical center of North America
- where he taught 7-8 grade English, dual-credit public speaking, and various high
school electives. He pursued his MA from North Dakota State University while teaching
full time, and then moved to Fargo, ND to complete a PhD in Communication with emphases
in Media, Technology, and Society as well as Adult Learning.

Kyle's research focuses on the student-instructor relationship, especially on that
is mediated by technologies. Kyle's work has been published in The Internet and Higher Education, Educational Media International, and Education and Information Technologies.
Kyle enjoys teaching a variety of courses (a sampling including Sports Communication,
Agricultural Communication, Research Methods, and Public Speaking). What Kyle enjoys
most about teaching is creating opportunities for students to interact, to challenge
their assumptions, and to learn deeply.
