Bio
Dulanjani Wijayasekara is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Natural Sciences.
She graduated with Master of Science from Oklahoma State University followed by Doctorate
degree at the University of Tulsa. Dr. Wijayasekara is interested in plant pathological
research including molecular virology and evolution.

Dr. Wijayasekara is interested in understanding molecular biology and evolution of
plant pathogens including plant viruses, plant pathogenic fungi and bacteria. Her
research expertise includes next generation library preparation and sequencing and
identifying novel plant viruses
Dr. Wijayasekara teaches Cell Biology and Microbiology at Northeastern State University.
She enjoys teaching biology related courses for undergraduate students
